AUTHENTIC OLIVE WOOD ROSARY WITH A CROSS WITH CUT-OUT OF CHRIST – Hand carved by craftsmen in the Holyland, using traditional techniques Made from authentic, highest quality, 8 mm olive wood beads each one unique in its beauty due to the difference in the shading and lines on it.   The beads are carefully assembled and knotted on sturdy dark brown cord.

A PERFECT COMPANION FOR PRAYER & MEDITATION – This is an Anglican Rosary, used by Anglicans, as well as other dominations of Christians as a focus for prayer. It was created by the Rev. Lynn Bauman in the mid-1980s, to help bring about contemplative, meditative prayer. The touching of the fingers on each successive bead aids helps to keep the mind from wandering when praying.

INCLUDES AN OLIVE WOOD CROSS WITH CHRIST CUT-OUT /CORPUS JESUS SILHOUETTE–This cross has a silky smooth feel and it will develop its own natural patina as it is held and handled over time.  The cross measures approximately  2” X 1.5″ x .1″ / 5 cm x 4 cm x  0.25 cm.     No two rosaries will ever look the same due to the variations in the grain of the wood.

A CHERISHED GIFT – This Anglican rosary is made up of thirty-three beads divided into groups. There are four groups consisting of seven beads with additional separate beads separating the groups. These groups are called “weeks”. There are 4 ”cruciform” beads, in between the “weeks” beads.  When the loop of beads is opened into a circular shape, these particular beads form the points of a cross within the circle of the set, hence the term ”cruciform.” Next, after the cross, is a single bead termed the ”invitatory” bead, giving the total of thirty-three. The name Rosary comes from the Latin ”rosarium’ meaning ”Crown of Roses.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY – These crosses are made only from the trimmings of ancient olive trees growing in the Bethlehem region, the site of the nativity of Jesus (Matt 2, Luke 2).
